Your journey
Preparation & Aftercare
Good preparation and good aftercare make a real difference to your result. Follow the guidance for your treatment category, and contact us if anything concerns you — we would always rather hear from you.
Facial Aesthetics — injectables
Before your treatment
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment
- Where medically safe, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E for 48 hours to reduce bruising
- Come with a clean face where possible and tell us about any cold sores
After your treatment
- Stay upright for four hours and avoid touching or massaging the area
- No exercise, saunas, steam rooms or sunbeds for 24 hours
- No facials, facial massage or other treatments for two weeks
- Mild swelling, small bumps or bruising can occur and settle within a few days
Skin Health — cryotherapy
Before your treatment
- Do not apply creams, oils or make-up to the area on the day
- Tell us about any history of skin cancer or changing moles so we can refer rather than treat
After your treatment
- Keep the area clean and dry and do not pick any scab or blister
- Avoid swimming pools and hot tubs for 48 hours
- Use SPF 50 on the treated area for at least four weeks
- Temporary lightening or darkening of the skin can occur and usually resolves
Skin Rejuvenation — peels and microdermabrasion
Before your treatment
- Stop retinoids, acids and exfoliants five days beforehand
- No waxing, threading or laser on the area for two weeks
- Avoid sun exposure and sunbeds for two weeks
After your treatment
- Use only a gentle cleanser and moisturiser for five to seven days
- Let any flaking shed naturally — do not pick or scrub
- SPF 50 every morning, reapplied through the day
- Avoid heat, heavy exercise and swimming for 48 hours
Microneedling
Before your treatment
- Stop retinoids and acids five days beforehand
- Arrive with clean skin and no make-up if possible
- Tell us if you have a history of cold sores so we can advise on prophylaxis
After your treatment
- Expect redness and warmth like mild sunburn for 24–48 hours
- No make-up for 24 hours; no exercise, swimming or saunas for 48 hours
- No active skincare for five days — gentle cleanser and moisturiser only
- SPF 50 daily for at least two weeks
Medical weight management
Before your treatment
- Bring an up-to-date list of medications and any recent blood test results
- Note your typical weekly eating and activity pattern so we can plan realistically
After your treatment
- Follow the dosing and storage instructions given to you in clinic exactly
- Keep your weekly check-ins — they are how we keep the plan safe and effective
- Prioritise protein and hydration, and contact us before altering any dose
- Report any persistent nausea, vomiting or severe abdominal pain to us or 111 promptly
If you are worried
If you experience severe pain, spreading redness, blanching or vision changes after an injectable treatment, contact the clinic immediately. Outside clinic hours, call 111, or 999 in an emergency.
